Adriana Diaconu

Co-supervisor ESR3 and ESR7; Host coordinator

Associate professor in spatial planning at the University Grenoble Alps - Institute of Planning and Alpine Geography. She conducts research as part of PACTE Social sciences research centre and of its Social Justice research group. Her research focuses on housing policies in European countries, collective action for the right to housing and emergency accommodation, as well as on imaginaries and collective memories as a vehicle for urban transformation. She is particularly interested in the role of non-institutional, third sector and informal stakeholders on these issues and their interrelationships and impacts on local governments and local policies.

She is currently involved in research on the effects of selling social housing in France and on the « welcoming metropolis » - part of the national research programme POPSU Métropoles.
