3rd Ministerial Conference on Sustainable Urban Development of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), Zagreb, 3 May 2023

The 3rd Ministerial Conference on Sustainable Urban Development of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), will be held in Zagreb, Croatia on Thursday, 4 May 2023.

The official Ministerial meeting will aim to acknowledge the progress achieved in fulfilling the objectives of the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation in the sector, as defined at the previous two UfM Ministerial Conferences on Sustainable Urban Development held in 2011 and in 2017, which together provide the outline of the UfM Urban Agenda.

The meeting will address the most urgent urban and housing challenges and responses of relevance in the region as part of the implementation of SDG 11 (Sustainable cities and communities). Affordable and sustainable housing and sustainable urbanization and development are two interrelated key issues of the UFM Strategic Urban Development Plan 2040.
