The University of Reading is a research intensive university with a reputation for strong industry links based in the South East of England, 25 minutes from central London by train. Founded in 1892 as a University of Oxford extension college, Reading gained its Royal Charter in 1926. More than 150,000 students from 180 different countries have studied at Reading.
Reading is a campus university with a beautiful parkland campus, Whiteknights, which has won the Green Flag Award for the top university green space in the UK for the 9th consecutive year in 2019. The School of Architecture is based in the historic London Road campus close to the city centre.
